There is an all seeing eye watching you

The eyes of the Lord are upon us is clearly taught throughout the Bible .”The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good” (Prov.15:3). We have rather lived as though we thought God only watched us while we were at worship. Surely. He is watching them, but He is also watching in every place. God is as much aware of our business dealings as He is our worship. We do not hide our actions from Him. He is as aware of what we do at home as in His house. God hears what families say to each other. He knows what kind of recreation is permitted in the home. He is fully aware of the reading material we have in our homes. He sees us when we attend the parties our neighbors have, or our business demands. Although we may not walk with God in the most strict sense, still He is watching in every place. No evil word or act escapes His all seeing eye. It ought to make us all very careful in everything we say and do regardless of where we are. Christ said: “A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things. But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak ,they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.” (Matt.12:35-37). Paul wrote, “Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers (Eph.4 :29). “But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay ;lest ye fall into condemnation.” (James 5:12).”If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.” (James 1:26). Remember, not only are the eyes of the Lord in every place beholding the good and the bad, but”The eyes of the Lord run to and for throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him”(2 chron.16:9). We get from this a most strengthening thought. We see the goodness of God waiting for us in every place. We see a God who is capable of helping us to make joy out of grief and light out of darkness. -We see a God who can help us turn losses into gain and weakness into strength. We also see a God waiting at every turn of the way with a blessing that our soul needs. What a blessed favor to be able to serve a God whose eyes are always upon us and who is constantly searching for some good thing to do for us.
