The biggest news in Pecan Gap this week is the talk of interest in starting a Pecan Gap Community Church and another successful Fannindel FFA Livestock Showing!

I’ve been contacted asking if I’d publicize to the citizens of Pecan Gap that Ms. Mary Miller, who helped originate the Cowboy Church in Fairlie, will be at the Pecan Gap Community Center on Sunday, March 7, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. to discuss steps in forming a new community church. Anyone interested in having a community church is encouraged to attend. Currently, there are 4 active Church’s in the Pecan Gap Community, Population 204.

Thoughts, prayers and condolences are extended to the family and friends of Mrs. Sue Reel who passed away last week. She was the wife of the late James Reel, of Ladonia, TX. who passed away in August. I mourn the loss of a good friend as all of us here in Pecan Gap and Ladonia do, but I’m grateful that she is resting in paradise, reunited with her beloved husband, whom she so greatly missed.

Billie McCarrell’s Birthday was Sunday. She and husband Bobby McCarrell traveled to Rowlett where they joined family and she and her great-grandson River Plumlee, who was turning 1 years old, celebrated their birthday’s together!
